My Untitled Poem!!

This is a poem I wrote a while ago that I just found not long ago. I don't remember why I wrote or the exact moment but when I read it, I realized that even though it's not very long, it has a wonderful meaning behind it. Now I won't give you what I think of it because it is up to you to find out what it means to you.

Thinking is like a drug, it becomes highly addictive.
The past reminds us, as the future shows us.
We become more reliant on thinking then doing.
It is with our actions in which we should start seeing for what is rather then what is not.
Our minds are our barriers and should not be taken lightly.
Open it to the present, not the future or the past.
For the present is now, and now is where you start the future and create the past.

Computer Programming Class!!

This semester I took a computer programming class because I needed an extra credit and it seemed at the time sort of interesting. Of course as I learnt from being in the class, it's easier then I thought so it kind of made the class boring. I'm the only girl in the class and we're only seven people so time should go by fast. But unfortunately, it doesn't because some people don't understand and two people are more advanced because they took the class before so they work on their own but as for me and my friend Pat, we always had to wait for so long so we kind of learnt for ourselves for most of the class. At the beginning we learnt about the computer's hardware and we had a chance to take a computer apart and put it back together. After that we learnt html codes, javascript, and css. With that, we had to do a group project and make an actual website. Of course while we were making it, it wasn't yet avaible through the internet but we had to eventually put it up and now we have an amazing website. Of course our website is in french but we still managed to make a perfect website for a band that we both we really like which is Three Days Grace. In order to make this website though, we used a whole bunch of codes! Check it out for yourselves! (if you can read french)
P.S. Click on the picture! I learnt how to make a picture cliquable in my computer programming class!

Noël Académie!!

Noël Académie is a religious camp for the french schools in my district. I went last year because it was at my school but this year it was at Sainte-Famille which is a school in Mississauga. Noël Académie is fun from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, of course no ones ever wants to leave because they make so many new friends, also the most fun you'll ever have at Noël Académie is the day that the elders come because two students will be paired up with one elderly then we play a big game of bingo and talk to the elder and when it's time for dinner we go in the cafeteria and eat but when they're almost done their meal, the guess priest will start off the show with a little song himself. Last years' guess priest was father Robert Lebel he was pretty awesome but this year it was father Yvon Samson he was amazing because he used everyday situation to explain to us certain biblical meanings and such. Anyway, after the priest was finished, each school that attended had to put on a show for the elders to enjoy, whether it's a song, song and dance, or a little skit, it doesn't matter as long as you have fun, now my school which is Saint-Charles-Garnier, decided to do a skit because the previous year, we did a song and dance to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and that was a disaster. But this year while we practiced, our skit looked horrible and we thought for the longest time that it was going to be even worse then last year but when we got on stage and started acting out our Hillbilly Christmas, it turned out excellent and went by smoothly. When it's time to leave, we always do a reflexion on how the past couple of days has impacted us and of course people always think that it won't because it's just a camp but it really does. For me Noël Académie is an amazing experience and it opens up your heart to help others. When we have the chance to confess for something we've done, you get that heavy weight off your shoulders, and when we spend time with elders, we gain not only experience but we grow in knowledge because they teach us that no matter what you do in life, taking the time to reach out to someone, makes your heart healthier in a way that it grows of kindness. Of course I wish that I can go back to Noël Académie next year but unfortunately I'm graduating this year so I won't be able to but I hope that Noël Académie grows in the number  of students that attend because even just from last year to this year it was incredible the amount of kids that wanted to enjoy the first weekend of December by attending Noël Académie!

First Impressions!!

First impressions are everything. It's your first impression that makes people see you the way they do. I personally hate how people see me right away. Because I find that it's not totally true or well it's an over exaggeration of who I am. The way they see me is an angel, who never gets in trouble, super happy, never swears, always listens, and anything else that's good. But I'm not perfect because I do swear from time to time, I get in trouble here and there, but I don't do stupid things. I hate it because it makes me seem like a suck up to my peers and really I'm not. First impressions, seem to last because no matter how you make an impression on someone, they will always see you as that person, so be wise on the way you act when first meeting someone because next thing you know, you might end up being the worlds biggest meany head!:P

Makes You Think!!

As you get older, you lose friends and you gain some but sometimes you keep them for a long time. I've had my best friend my whole life and of course we have our ups and downs in those years, we are still friends. My parents never truly liked my best friend because they kept on saying that oh well she's just using you and so on and so on. Of course I just ignored them because I knew that they hated her so why should I care what my parents think about my friends. Of course after all these years I truly care about her but I also get to care about my other friends to and sometimes things happen that makes you need to sit down with a friend and talk. But as I was talking with one of my friends about recent drama, we got into the topic of friends and I was saying how I just lost one friend and I don't really have many left. He of course asked which ones I had left and I said him, another friend, and my best friend. But then when I said my best friend he looked at me and kind of laughed. I asked him why he was laughing and he replied it was nothing but then he said actually your best friend uses you more than anything. Now I know he's not the first to say it so I started thinking and when I went to talk to one of my teachers she sort of agreed and so now I'm trying to think of possible times that she couldn't use my generosity in any way but not much is coming up. It's just that when your parents say something about one of your friends you don't really care but as soon as another friend says the same thing it makes you think but then yet when a teacher even thinks the same, now that really gets you thinking. Now of course I won't stop being her friend just because of that, but I guess I do have to start saying NO!!! Hopefully it won't be to hard!

Media Control!!

Not too long ago I was visiting my cousin's school because I went to pick her up but I got there during their recess. I came across the fact that a lot of the little kids seem to be dressing and acting more inappropriately at a younger age. I was simply asking myself how they would even get so much more fake at such a young age. Is it the media? When you look at a 7 year old today you realize that she sort of dresses as if she was 20 and that's not right. Not only that drugs and alcohol seem to be affecting younger age groups. It's like people need to be like the celebrities, they need to act like them, dress like them, and pretty much almost be them. The world does not need like a hundred little Jayde Nicole, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, etc.. Those people have enough problems as it is. You should just be you and not try to portrait someone who isn't truly real to us. Yes media has gotten out of hand with celebrities and the latest scandals but we shouldn't pay attention or even care about it. We have our own lives and should live them as ourselves and not like a person we see that does stupid things just to get publicity. They need to control how the media sees celebrities because now as I look at the younger kids, they seem to be trying to act like as if they were all that and they're dressed in almost nothing. It's horrible to see and it's wrong! But most likely it will get worse but hopefully sooner or later   people will realize how stupid it is to be someone they are not!!!

Volunteering!!

Volunteering most definitely pays off! As I am currently still in high school, I need forty hours of community service in order to graduate. Many or even most people wait until the last minute to get their forty hours finished but of course not everyone! For instance, as soon as I started grade nine, I started volunteering at my church with their special events. But it didn`t suffise for me because I was eager to volunteer so my cousin who is a recreational therapiste at the Whitby Mental Health Centre or well actually now it's called the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, got me a volunteering position at the age of 14 when in reality to volunteer at the Whitby Mental Health Centre, you must be at least 16 and even then it's hard enough to get in. But thanks to my cousin I was able to get in. I had put in so many hours that I was awarded at their yearly appreciation dinner, the most hours for a student and my hours for one year was 166. That's a lot considering it was the same year I had started my job. I loved helping out though. All the bingo games, the outings, the dances, and talking with all the seniors (even though many of them scared me). It was an amazing experience and thanks to that I was to get a grant for 500 dollars to go towards my schooling! So volunteering pays off in more then one way because I got a lot of experience that can help me get a new job and it helps me get grants and such for college next year!

Education!!

Education is a gift. Whether you decide to cherish that gift it is fully up to you! Teachers can't do more then give us the tools we need in order to learn. Now in order to actual educate yourself on certain things, it is up to you and your brain. Teachers cannot force us to learn because they do not control our brains, meaning they can't make us make sense or remember certain things, you have to do that for yourself! If you choose not to learn that don't blame the teachers because they give you what you need in order to learn. Of course teachers don't want to see you fail but if you fail it is completely your fault. I've noticed that as you get older you tend to slack off a bit or a lot! I definitely cherish my gift of education because I love learning new things but I also make time for friends and even family. It's not hard to get decent grades and still have time for a social life. Just as long as you organize your time right and enjoy the gift of knowing.!

Love!!

Love is infinite! Your heart has as much room to love as you let it. You should love your friends and family; all your peers that you have ever spoken to, you should love. I say such a thing because no matter how long a conversation was with even a complete stranger you should love because just that conversation or certain action changed your life and made your life go on as the person you are. Of course love seems like a strong word but it depends on the depth or your love for that person that makes it such a strong word. If it's love for a complete stranger that you said hello to or help with directions or something then that love isn't love exactly but one of it's forms, which would be acceptance. You have a love in terms of acceptance of someone new in a moment of your life. But if it's a friend that you're not so close with them it might be under form of like, politeness, or even just a friendship. But then using the term love is when you can't even describe love in any other form. Always make sure you make room for everyone that had a moment of time in your life because that moment helps create you and who you are today in terms of everything from personality to attitude. Every moment of your life is something to cherish and never be token for granted. Love is infinite; love your life and love yourself and everything that made you, you!

In The End...!!

Not that long ago I changed my personal message for my msn name to harbored emotions are there no less but in the end is it worth the whole mess. So many people asked me what it truly meant and I haven't told anyone but now considering people are always talking about relationships and such and not long ago my ex boyfriend came over to my place to try to get me to go back out with him I realized how much emotions seem to take over the way you act. Harbored emotions are emotions that you keep bottled up inside and never let out. Those kind of emotions I find speak the most when faced with certain things such as the person those feelings are reflected on, talking about the person that those feelings are reflected on and mostly even just thinking about those feelings; makes you want to either scream out loud how you feel or wish that you could let them out without making your a fool of yourself and such. Technically you could let those emotions out but you never know the outcome of it. It's hard to keep emotions in but it's harder to let them out. It doesn't matter really of the age because when you fall for someone, it's hard to let them know. We become friends with people we like but always have to choose wether to risk an amazing friendship for something that might or might not work. Even though you think you get over the person, there is still always something there and in the end it's up to you to choose between regret from not trying or the pain of rejection?...

More Than One Best Friend!!

It has been said that you can't have more than one best friend because it breaks the rule of trust. But unfortunately, I don't care so much for that saying because I have four best friends well of course i have more friends but these four are just closer to me. Each one of my friends mean so much to me in a different way and we share that friendship in differents ways. Everytime I think about just one of their names, things we've done in the past all come rushing back to me. That's how i know that I truly care for them because I can't seem to forget one little detail about our friendship.
Tanya: Tanya has been my best friend since we were born. We've had our ups and downs but I know that she is always there for me when I need her. We've never been able to stay mad at each other for more than 2 hours except for once not that long ago a boyfriend of hers got in the way of our friendship. The reason she's my best friend is not for the fact that I can tell her everything because I CAN'T tell her EVERYTHING but it's because we share so much together that no matter what, I will always be there for her and I know she'll be there for me!
Patrique: Pat and I never really talked much in our younger years but for several years now, we've been getting pretty close as friends. I trust him so much with all my secrets and such that I'm able to tell him everything. He was the one that was there for me when I truly needed a friend the most and I know that I consider him as a close friend because when I saw that he was hurting and in pain, it tore me up inside. We have so many memories from the years that we've truly been friends that it makes up for the years that we just knew each other. But as I consider him a really good friend because he's the only person I can tell all my problems, secrets, etc... to. i really appreciate him being one of my friends...
Natalie: Natalie and I in grade school, we  were the worst of ennemies ever! We hated each others guts. But now since we've been in high school, we became super close! She's my friend that I can bitch to! Whenever the other person has a situation that pisses them off, we talk to each other about it because we have that thing between us where if we bitch about something to each other we feel better. It's a weird friendship but hey it works!! I care for her to though because I was hurt when she was mad at me for telling everything to Patrique instead of her but she ended up understanding in the end!
Megan: Megan and I have been friends since we were very little. I was 2 years old when we met in our very first dance class and ever since we've been BFFLAB(best friends for life and beyond) plus she lived in the same apartment building and then when I moved she ended up moving on the same street as me. It was awesome we were inseparable. But unfortunately, she moved away to haliburton and we haven't been as close as before. Whenever she comes down though, we have fun. But I just wished she didn't have to leave. I miss her so much but she's still my bfflab.
Those four are my closest friends and I know that going away to school and such next year will seperate us but I will work my best to keep in touch as long as I can!! Plus now with the internet hopefully it will be easier to keep them as friends then when my mom went to college.

Too Much!!

Grade 12! The last year before you start your own life! Meaning this is the year you make all your decisions for what you want to do in the future. But the main thing is our GRADES!!! Our grades are a crucial factor in wether we get accepted to college/university or not! This year especially we need to keep our grades up because many course don't want to accept students with less then a 69 percent. For the four classes each semester it gets to be a lot of stress because we get so much homework and projects and tests that we lose track of what's due when and then we tend to leave stuff for the last possible minute. Hense the stress which leads to failure due top the fact that your grades get pretty bad. With all the homework and projects I`ve done since the beginning of the year, I've handed in approximately 7 of them in late because so many other projects were due around the same time. I'm starting to learn how to cope with the work overload by doing my work slowly and not staying up until 3 o'clock in the morning on a school night. But is it enough, i really don't know! Not quite yet anyways. All I know is that grade 12 comes with a lot of stress so it's better to prepare yourselves in the earlier grades by studying and such because once you hit grade 12, if you slacked off all the other years, you'll notice that your grades matter and in order to get good grades you need to actually do your work!!!
